Dartmouth Public Library Launches New Seed Library

March 3 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Gardeners in Dartmouth have a new reason to visit the stacks.

Dartmouth Public Library will launch a free Seed Library on March 2 at both branches. Limited seed packets will be available to help residents get the growing season started.

The program encourages gardening, sustainability, and local food production. Participants can take seeds, grow plants, and save seeds to share. Effort supports biodiversity and helps plants adapt to local conditions.

Seed donations are now accepted at the Southworth Library. Both commercially packaged and saved seeds are welcome.

Gardening books, a tool set, and a garden kneeler are also available to borrow. Supplies are limited.

For details, call Southworth Library at 508-999-0726.

The Southworth Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is closed on Sunday.

The North Branch Library is open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is closed on Friday and Sunday.
