MAC Theater Presents “The 39 Steps”

MAC Theater will turn up the pace with a quick-change comedy thriller “The 39 Steps,” running March 6-8, 13-15, and 20-22 at the Anne Braitmayer Webb Theater. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m. John Heavey directs.
The show follows Richard Hannay, an ordinary man swept into a spy plot and framed for murder. A small cast will play more than 150 characters, often switching roles in seconds. The result is a playful take on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller.
Cast includes Samantha Asker, Marisa Biever, Cynthia Johnson, Jacob Matthew, Rick Sherburne, Donn Tyler, Maura Barry Van Voris, Jennie Williamson, and Kerri Zhou. Marisa Biever serves as stage manager. Steve McManus is the technical director.
Tickets are $23 for members and $28 for nonmembers. Sales are nonrefundable. Date changes may be available with at least 48 hours’ notice, based on availability.
