DESCRIPTION:New Bedford Festival Theatre [NBFT] returns to Zeiterion with “Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville” in July. \nThe musical runs for eight performances from July 17 through July 26. Evening performances begin at 7 p.m.\, with select 2 p.m. matinees. A steel drum band will perform on Purchase Street before each performance. A blue-and-gold macaw is also scheduled for lobby photo opportunities on July 17 and July 23. \nSet on a Caribbean island\, the story follows a tourist and a laid-back bartender whose paths lead to romance. Humor mixes with Jimmy Buffett favorites\, including “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” \nLocal and New York-based performers make up the cast\, while much of the creative team comes from the region. Tickets start at $42\, with discounts available.
