SUMMARY:Menstrual Access Drive
DESCRIPTION:The community is encouraged to support women and girls through a menstrual access drive addressing period poverty in the region.\nOrganizers have spent years providing advocacy\, education\, and product distribution. More than 800 women and girls received essential hygiene items last year\, helping them attend school and work with dignity. Continued donations are needed to sustain the effort.\n\nSupplies of tampons are currently sufficient. Donations of menstrual pads and new underwear\, with tags or in unopened packages\, are needed.\nDrop-offs are accepted May 14 through June 30\, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, at YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts\, 20 South Sixth St.\, New Bedford.\n\nFor more information\, to ask questions\, or to request products\, contact Brittany Coker at BCoker@ywcasema.org or 508-999-3255.

DESCRIPTION:Those on a recovery journey are invited to attend weekly recovery-focused meetings beginning Tuesday\, May 26. The meetings aim to provide a supportive space for healing\, self-care\, and personal growth.\n\nSessions are hosted by Debbie Keiko Kenny\, an experienced wellness professional with more than 30 years in massage therapy\, holistic healing\, and related services. She has been in recovery for more than 37 years and has spent decades supporting the substance use recovery community through peer support\, mentorship\, and healing work.
