DESCRIPTION:John Mustard\, a professor of Earth\, environmental\, and planetary sciences at Brown University\, will speak about the future of space exploration during the New Bedford Science Café. The program runs on Tuesday\, Sept. 15\, from 6 to 8 p.m.\, at Last Round Bar & Grille.\n\nThe talk\, “Space Exploration: What’s the Point?” will examine NASA’s human spaceflight program\, lessons from lunar exploration\, and the prospects for future missions to Mars. Mustard has worked on NASA missions involving the Moon and Mars\, including the Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars and the Mars Express OMEGA experiment.
