SUMMARY:Szostak Opens North American Tour With New Bedford Organ Recital
DESCRIPTION:Michał Szostak\, a Polish concert organist\, returns to St. Anthony of Padua Church on Sunday\, May 31\, at 3 p.m.\, opening his 2026 North American tour. Tickets are $25.\n\nA standing ovation marked his last appearance. Audience response brought him back for another recital.\nSzostak holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance and a PhD in management from Leon Koźmiński University in Warsaw.\n\nMusic fills a landmark space. The church features a 256-foot spire\, one of the tallest in New England. Inside\, hand-carved angels and 112 stained glass windows by Guido Nincheri shape the setting.\n\nProceeds support preservation work. Current efforts focus on restoring exterior window frames that protect the stained glass.\n\nTickets are available online\, at the door\, or by calling 508-264-8010.
