Marina Dawn Wells\, the exhibition curator\, will lead the session. \nParticipants will use the historic sunprint process to create blue-and-white prints with natural light and arranged objects. The workshop includes a visit to the exhibition and an opportunity to ask the curator questions. \nCheck-in begins at 4:30 p.m. and the class starts at 4:45 p.m. in Cuffe Park and will be held outdoors\, weather permitting. The presentation includes archival photographs\, historic film footage\, and first-person accounts spanning decades. \nPulitzer Prize-winning historian Rick Atkinson called the book “a fine book about an extraordinary sailing vessel.” \nDoors open at 5:30 p.m. The lecture runs from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Cook Memorial Theater\, followed by a light reception and book signing in the Jacobs Family Gallery.

The book highlights privately owned vessels that attacked British shipping across the Atlantic and along American coasts. Dolin argues these freelance sailors played a critical role in weakening British forces and shaping the outcome of the war.
