Dolin lives in Marblehead\, Massachusetts.\n\n“In Rebels at Sea\,” Dolin examines the role of privateers during the American Revolutionary War. The book highlights privately owned vessels that attacked British shipping across the Atlantic and along American coasts. Dolin argues these freelance sailors played a critical role in weakening British forces and shaping the outcome of the war.

Audience members can take part in a Q&A with the artist and filmmaker.\n\nDocumentary follows a second-generation Cape Verdean American singer\, songwriter\, author\, and educator as she returns to Cabo Verde to explore traditional music and its global influence. Journey takes her across the islands\, including Brava\, her ancestral home. Story blends personal history with cultural discovery. The film was an official selection of the New Bedford Film Festival and received a nomination for Best South Coast Narrative.

Lee Blake discusses free people of color and the limits of citizenship. Donika Kelly explores the poetic meaning of the nation’s beginnings. \nA light reception follows in the Jacobs Family Gallery.
