DESCRIPTION:March 12 to May 31\, 2026$10 adults. $7 seniors and students. \nThis exhibition features contemporary Mexican artists exploring freedom of expression\, history\, and social justice. Work spans sculpture\, installation\, performance documentation\, textiles\, and printmaking. Artists reflect on Indigenous knowledge\, collective memory\, and present-day social issues. \nJacobo and María Ángeles\, master wood carvers from Oaxaca\, present sculptural interpretations of tonas and nahuales. Their vivid works draw on Zapotec cosmology and assert cultural identity. \nAdela Goldbard examines memory and power\, often through symbolic acts of destruction. Prints by Mario Guzmán highlight community\, labor\, and political struggle\, alongside work from Subterráneos\, a collective he leads in Oaxaca. \nRenata Cassiano Alvarez shows pieces from Siempre Voy a Volver.
