DESCRIPTION:WAREHAM — Damien’s Food Pantry provides food to residents of Bristol\, Plymouth and Barnstable counties on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. \nIts mission is to help end hunger in the South Coast region of Massachusetts by providing food to individuals experiencing food insecurity\, promoting education and awareness about hunger in our community\, and providing information to our guests about other community resources. All are welcome. \nFirst-time visitors will need to provide information about their household. They are required to complete a short application\, show proof of residency\, and verify all occupants residing in the home. Verifications will be required annually. New applications are accepted Thursdays and Saturdays between 8-11:30 a.m. \nThe last shop of the day will start at 11:45 a.m.  Anyone arriving after 11:45 a.m. will receive a pre-packaged box of food. \nThe pantry will be closed Friday\, July 4- Monday\, July 7. \nThe organization makes food available to over 1\,200 households monthly.  If you or someone you know needs food\, please contact us.   The pantry is located at 242 Marion Road\, Wareham\, MA 02571.  Mailing Address: P.O. Box 730\, East Wareham\, MA 02538.  Phone: 508-295-3486 / Fax: 508-299-6582. \nVolunteers are often sought. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer\, please phone the pantry at: 508-295-3486 and leave your name and phone number or apply online here.  \nThe opportunities range from food distribution\, stocking shelves to data entry and translation services.  Volunteers who work the backroom should be able to lift 25 pounds. If you are unable to physically volunteer at the pantry\, but would still like to help\, we have opportunities for remote activities. \nHere is more information about volunteer opportunities.   \nThe pantry depends on financial support\, volunteers and food donations from individuals\, corporations\, agencies\, and foundations to help feed the hungry.  Donations are tax deductible.

Those interested can sign up through SignUp Genius. \nThe pantry will be closed on November 27\, November 29\, December 25\, December 27\, and January 1\, 2026. \nStarting in January\, Damien’s Place will add Tuesday evening hours to make it easier for volunteers to participate after work or school. The pantry encourages community members to spread the word and join in its effort to serve local families.

SUMMARY:Full Throttle for Food Motorcycle Run
DESCRIPTION:The first Full Throttle for Food Motorcycle Run will benefit Damien’s Food Pantry. Riders will travel a 45-mile route through the South Coast\, starting at Damien’s Food Pantry and ending at Redmen Hall in Wareham. \nRegistration is $25 per person. Participants are entered into a door prize raffle\, and the first 100 riders to register receive a free “Full Throttle for Food” T-shirt. \nAfter the ride\, a barbecue lunch will be available for $15 for riders and passengers. The event also features raffles and a cash bar. \n
