SUMMARY:Annual New Bedford Community Christmas Caroling
DESCRIPTION:The beloved annual Christmas caroling night is set for Thursday\, Dec. 18\, 2025\, at 6 p.m. at Buttonwood Park. Carolers will gather in the Senior Center warming house parking lot to lift their voices\, spread cheer\, and brighten the evening for local families. \nLyric books will be provided. Festive attire and candles are encouraged to light the way. All are welcome\, and no prior singing experience is required.

SUMMARY:Community Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:The City’s Department of Community Services is running a food drive that will continue through March 31\, 2026. \n\n\n\nNonperishable food donations will benefit PACE\, the New Bedford Housing Authority\, and local food pantries. \n\n\n\nItems can be dropped off at: City Hall\, Room 113 (Community Services) New Bedford Council on Aging\, 181 Hillman St.\, Building 9\, Entrance 1 Buttonwood Senior Center in Buttonwood Park.   Update: More drop-off points have been added:  Andrea McCoy Recreation Center; New Bedford Regional Airport; and the Howland-Green and Wilks Libraries. \n\n\n\nFor more information\, call the New Bedford Office of Community Services at 508-979-1464.
