SUMMARY:Call for art: Arts Illuminated focuses on gifts for the holidays
DESCRIPTION:South Coast artists\, help The New Bedford Light make the holidays bright! Submit your work to Arts Illuminated’s next talk show and sale\, featuring your great ideas for small gifts. \n\n\nDo you have artwork that might make a special present? Or creative pieces in a wintry mood? Apply to show it off on stage on Thursday\, Dec. 10\, 6 p.m.\, at the Steeple Playhouse\, 159 William St.\, New Bedford. (The same night as AHA! New Bedford’s holiday stroll!)\n\n\nSend in entries by Friday\, Nov. 22. Chosen artists will display 2 to 4 works and be interviewed by local art entrepreneur Devin McLaughlin about their mediums and motivations.\n\n\nRecent participant Linda Scharf gives the evening an enthusiastic thumbs up:\n\n\n“Devin’s a perfect host\, asking questions that elicit thoughtful responses from artists. It’s an engaging evening\, and the time given over to think about art and creativity carries over into the next days by The Light’s filming of the event and continued coverage online.”\n\n\nThe free show is followed by our signature Afterglow reception\, where all can chat\, snack\, browse and BUY artwork direct from Arts Illuminated artists.\n\n\nTo enter\, go to: https://newbedfordlight.org/artsilluminated/
