DESCRIPTION:Freetown’s Summer Concert Series consists of three free concerts at the bandstand at 5 South Main St. in Assonet. Performances are scheduled every other Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Rain dates are set for the following Tuesday. \nJuly 14\nThe Dave Richardson Band will open the series with a mix of New Orleans funk\, Texas blues\, soul\, and rock and roll.\nRain date: July 21 \nJuly 28\nReal Weird\, a Fall River-based cover band\, will perform a mix of hits from the 1990s\, 2000s\, and beyond.\nRain date: Aug. 4 \nAug. 11\nFour in a Row will close the series with rockabilly\, country\, blues\, and rock inspired by the 1950s and 1960s.\nRain date: Aug. 18 \nD and L Concessions and Joe’s Ice Cream will be on site during the concerts. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. More information and updates are available through the Town of Freetown website and Facebook page.
