SUMMARY:City of New Bedford opens Swap Shop at recycling center
DESCRIPTION:NEW BEDFORD — The city of New Bedford is pleased to announce the opening of the Swap Shop\,  a new initiative at the New Bedford Recycling Center that allows residents to drop off and pick up reusable items\, for free. \nThe Swap Shop\, located at 1103 Shawmut Ave.\, is  accepting donations of gently used items\, specifically: books\, tableware (such as dishes and silverware)\, cookware\, and bakeware (like pots\, pans\, and baking sheets). All donations are subject to inspection.\n• Who can participate: The Swap Shop is open to New Bedford residents\, and proof of residency is required. \nSwap Shop hours are year-round (same as Recycling Center): • Monday\, Wednesday\, and Friday: 12 – 5 p.m. • Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. \nFor more details and information about programs at the Recycling Center\, visit the City’s website at NewBedfordRecycling.org\, or contact Facilities and Fleet Management at (508) 979-1520 or trashandrecycling@newbedford-ma.gov.
