DESCRIPTION:Mike Mahoney has been performing professionally since 1975. He has spent the past 41 years as lead singer and rhythm guitarist for New Bedford’s Pearly Baker Band\, a Grateful Dead tribute group. His song choices lean toward music that is fun\, thoughtful\, and easy to connect with. Sets often include Grateful Dead songs along with music by John Prine\, Bob Dylan\, JJ Cale\, Paul Simon\, Lou Reed\, and James Taylor. \nEach $25 ticket covers one carload. A list of ticket purchasers will be available at the entrance. No refunds or ticket changes unless canceled because of weather. \nFood trucks include Farmer’s Feast\, Rhode Rage\, Tacofied\, Blount Clam Shack\, Spindrift Raw Bar\, JoJo’s Coffee\, and Annie’s Ice Cream Shack. \nBring an ID for wine and beer wristbands. Chairs and blankets are welcome. Please leave picnic tables and lawn furniture in place. Service dogs only. No outside food\, alcohol\, or coolers. Children must remain supervised. DESCRIPTION:Freetown’s Summer Concert Series consists of three free concerts at the bandstand at 5 South Main St. in Assonet. Performances are scheduled every other Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Rain dates are set for the following Tuesday. \nJuly 14\nThe Dave Richardson Band will open the series with a mix of New Orleans funk\, Texas blues\, soul\, and rock and roll.\nRain date: July 21 \nJuly 28\nReal Weird\, a Fall River-based cover band\, will perform a mix of hits from the 1990s\, 2000s\, and beyond.\nRain date: Aug. 4 \nAug. 11\nFour in a Row will close the series with rockabilly\, country\, blues\, and rock inspired by the 1950s and 1960s.\nRain date: Aug. 18 \nD and L Concessions and Joe’s Ice Cream will be on site during the concerts.
