DESCRIPTION:Experience a genre-bending night of music at the New Bedford Whaling Museum on Friday\, Nov. 7. \nCellist Ian Legge\, known as “The Punk Cellist\,” blends classical skill with punk energy. A Berklee College of Music graduate\, he has performed with artists including Sum 41\, NOFX\, and the Grammy-winning 8-Bit Big Band. \nLegge will release his debut album\, Arrangements Vol. I\, featuring string and full-band renditions of songs by the Ramones\, Blink-182\, Turnstile\, and others. \nThe evening begins in the Cook Memorial Theater with The Punk Cellist Quartet\, followed by a Legge family jam in the Jacobs Family Gallery\, and ends with a whole punk show in the Harbor View Gallery. \nDoors open at 5 p.m. The show starts at 6 p.m. Lite bites and a cash bar will be available. Ages 18 and older. Valid ID required for bar service.
