All are welcome. \nFirst-time visitors will need to provide information about their household. They are required to complete a short application\, show proof of residency\, and verify all occupants residing in the home. Verifications will be required annually. New applications are accepted Thursdays and Saturdays between 8-11:30 a.m. \nThe last shop of the day will start at 11:45 a.m.  Anyone arriving after 11:45 a.m. will receive a pre-packaged box of food. \nThe pantry will be closed Friday\, July 4- Monday\, July 7. \nThe organization makes food available to over 1\,200 households monthly.  If you or someone you know needs food\, please contact us.   The pantry is located at 242 Marion Road\, Wareham\, MA 02571.  Mailing Address: P.O. Participants will be asked to provide basic information including ZIP code and the number of people living in their household. No photo ID is required.\n\nEach household receives prepackaged fresh\, frozen\, and pantry food items based on availability. Markets typically last an hour and a half\, or less when food runs out\, which happens often. There are no town residency\, eligibility\, or Y membership requirements.\n\nAll in need are welcome to take advantage of this free program on a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\nThe markets are part of  the Full Plate Project (FPP)  which embodies the Y’s mission of strengthening communities through youth development\, healthy living\, and social responsibility. More than just survive\, healthy food allows everyone to thrive.

Spraying will be done on Thursdays between 2 a.m. and sunrise\, weather permitting.\n\nCrews will target parks and public event spaces\, including Buttonwood Park\, Brooklawn Park\, Fort Taber\, and several downtown locations.\n\nResidents near spray areas may want to close windows overnight before scheduled treatments. Rain or holidays may shift spraying to Friday mornings.\n\nSpraying can also be requested for private property through the Bristol County Mosquito Control Project between June and September.\n\nHealth officials recommend using insect repellent\, wearing long sleeves outdoors at dusk\, and draining standing water around homes to help reduce mosquito activity.

About $1.9 million will be available for eligible projects involving open space\, recreation\, community housing\, and historic preservation.\n\nSince voters adopted the Community Preservation Act in 2014\, New Bedford has awarded more than $16.9 million through 166 grants supporting 97 projects. Those grants have helped leverage more than $12.9 million in additional private\, state\, and federal funding.\n\nApplication materials will be available on the city’s Community Preservation website on Sept. 4.\n\nSpanish and Portuguese translation services are available by request.
