Magnan’s sculpture is also featured at the UMass School of Law. Rain or holidays may shift spraying to Friday mornings.\n\nSpraying can also be requested for private property through the Bristol County Mosquito Control Project between June and September.\n\nHealth officials recommend using insect repellent\, wearing long sleeves outdoors at dusk\, and draining standing water around homes to help reduce mosquito activity.

DESCRIPTION:WAREHAM — Damien’s Food Pantry provides food to residents of Bristol\, Plymouth and Barnstable counties on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. \nIts mission is to help end hunger in the South Coast region of Massachusetts by providing food to individuals experiencing food insecurity\, promoting education and awareness about hunger in our community\, and providing information to our guests about other community resources. All are welcome. \nFirst-time visitors will need to provide information about their household. They are required to complete a short application\, show proof of residency\, and verify all occupants residing in the home. Verifications will be required annually. New applications are accepted Thursdays and Saturdays between 8-11:30 a.m. \nThe last shop of the day will start at 11:45 a.m.  Anyone arriving after 11:45 a.m. will receive a pre-packaged box of food. \nThe pantry will be closed Friday\, July 4- Monday\, July 7. \nThe organization makes food available to over 1\,200 households monthly.  If you or someone you know needs food\, please contact us.   The pantry is located at 242 Marion Road\, Wareham\, MA 02571.  Mailing Address: P.O. Nathaniel Gordon came from a White merchant family tied to the slave trade. \nThrough their stories\, Gardner explores race\, freedom\, and division in the North during the age of slavery.

DESCRIPTION:“Vanishing Ecologies: Speculative Futures” opens June 25 at the New Bedford Art Museum with a free reception from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit remains on view through Oct. 11. \nThrough painting\, sculpture\, installation\, and time-based media\, artists explore climate change\, extinction\, technology\, and imagined futures shaped by the Anthropocene. \nSeveral works examine the tension between collapse and adaptation. Others focus on resilience\, planetary memory\, and post-human possibilities.

The class fee is $135 for non-members and $125 for members.\n\nInstructor Melissa Haskell of Great Neck Designs will lead a two-hour\, hands-on class focused on weaving a half-inch bracelet with acrylic end caps.\n\nStudents will learn basic techniques and select from a variety of colors and finishes to create a custom piece.\n\nHaskell is a Dartmouth-based designer specializing in handcrafted Nantucket-inspired bracelets and baskets. She teaches workshops across the South Coast.
