Uplifting Women’s Voices Listening Session

May 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The Bristol County Commission on the Status of Women is pleased to announce our initiative “Uplifting Women’s Voices.”

The community is invited to join in the second of 8 listening sessions that will be held around Bristol County to listen and talk about the needs of women and girls.

The information from these sessions will help to begin the process of a needs assessment on the lack of resources and supports around Bristol County and create legislation for women and girls.

If there is any doubt that a group of small but mighty women can help a county, an example of legislation that came from Bristol County is The ” I AM” bill. An Act to increase access to Disposable Menstrual Products in Prisons, Homeless Shelters and Public Schools: H.2354/S.2730.

Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
