Ukranian Pysanky Easter Eggs Workshop
April 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
$45
Instructor Karen Charbonneau Zukas takes students through the process of “Writing Pysanka.” This art form uses beeswax, a candle flame, a kishka tool, dyes, and fresh, clean eggs in a resist pattern to create patterns and colors. Pysanky eggs are a Ukrainian tradition dating back to ancient times, they are symbolic of faith and culture.
The course fee includes tools and materials. But students should bring 3–6 large to jumbo raw white chicken eggs (in a half carton) and one taper candle.
