Christine Maiato FitzGerald works primarily in the mediums of photography and painting. A New Bedford native, FitzGerald’s conceptual compositions are loaded with elements of tension, symmetry, space, and contrast. Her work features attention to texture and detail, all while peppered with themes that transition from the mysterious to tranquility. “Textured Colors in Abstract: An Exploration” is featured all summer and new pieces will be added through August. MaiatoFitzArt Gallery & Studio is open 4 p.m.–7 p.m. Friday, 12 p.m.–4 p.m. Saturday, and by appointment only on Sunday.
