SouthCoast Wind Fund

The SouthCoast Wind Fund, administered by the Community Foundation, will open its first round of grantmaking on Sept. 5, with a deadline of Oct. 13.
They plan to distribute $500,000 to local nonprofits by December. Information sessions about the grant application process will be held on Aug. 31 (noon to 1 p.m.) and Sept. 12 (5-6 p.m.). Any organization interested in applying is strongly encouraged to attend one of the sessions.

Funding will focus on programs that:
Support workforce development in offshore wind and related industries through the creation of training, internship, and apprenticeship programs
Develop diversity in the future employment pipeline for the offshore wind and related industries and/or
Expand community awareness and advancement of the offshore wind industry through collaboration, education, and outreach
Organizations in both Massachusetts, especially on the South Coast, and Rhode Island are welcome to apply.
