South Coast Almanac’s Walking Book Tour

September 11 @ 2:15 pm - 4:15 pm

South Coast Almanac continues its Walking Book Tours series with Yara Zgheib, author of the lyrical novel “No Land to Light On.” Ms. Zgheib will read from and discuss her book with the song of birdsong in the background on West Island in Fairhaven.

While focusing on the main characters’ search for home and family, “No Land To Light On” weaves in an underlying motif featuring the epic migration of some birds. And so, to make this a decidedly South Coast adventure, the tour will venture to West Island, where Justin Barrett from the Nasketucket Bird Club will join to help look for sandpipers as they make their South Coast stop along their own epic 1000+ mile journeys, which will create the perfect backdrop to the reading and discussion of this novel.

There is no requirement that participants need to have previously read the book.
