Sound Art Workshop: Sonic Science & Audio Art

Join Brian Cass for a hands-on workshop in sonic science and audio art. He will cover some history and context in non-musical audio artwork and then experiment with recordings to create meaningful sounds with creative intention.

Director’s note: This is a rare opportunity to work with a masterful teacher and artist. Fun fact: Brian worked with Pat Metheny on the Orchestrion.

Tickets: $185 for non-members and $166.50 for members
Feel free to bring your lunch. Crunchy snacks will be provided.

Brian Cass is an audio artist, music producer, performer, and educator. He has been designing sounds professionally since 1999. Brian has also been a Berklee College of Music faculty member since 2012, where he teaches electronic performance, sound synthesis, and audio production. Having produced hundreds of sound libraries for various software and hardware companies worldwide, Brian has made a career out of finding and creating interesting noises. He has also produced countless songs and albums with artists in and around Southcoast, NYC, LA, and beyond.
