Sippican Choral Society Spring Concert

April 30 @ 4:00 pm

“If music be the food of love,” as William Shakespeare once suggested, then come and feast on the banquet of romance offered by the Sippican Choral Society’s spring concert. The chorus, led by director Darry Dolezal, and accompanied by Mattapoisett pianist Michelle Gordon, will nourish your soul with the jaunty music of George Shearing, the bittersweet “One Hand, One Heart” of Stephen Sondheim, and the humorous “Neighbor’s Chorus” from a comic opera by Jacques Offenbach, as well as the poetry of Robert Frost set to music by Randall Thompson.

Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for students, and free for kids aged six and under. They can be purchased with cash or check at Marion General Store, Isabelle’s in Mattapoisett, Euro in Fairhaven, and The Symphony Music Shop in Dartmouth and at the door. The Massachusetts Cultural Council partly supports this program through grants from our local towns.
