Sine Nomine Presenting Magnificat by Monteverdi

Featuring Monteverdi’s Magnificat, the program includes a selection of English, Italian and Spanish sacred music of the 16th and 17th century. After a sparkling opener by Peter Philips, the concert progresses into the dreary realm of grief, shifts to a mother’s comfort, and resoundingly concludes with the Magnificat from the Vespers of 1610. The concert will feature an organ accompaniment for the Monteverdi, solos sung by members of the choir.
Admission is $20, free for 21 and under.
