Our Town/Nha Vida (My Life) Exhibit

September 13 - September 24

The Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries presents an exhibit on the history and stories of Cape Verdeans in our region.  The exhibition runs from Sept. 13–24 at the Dartmouth North Branch Library. The opening reception is open to the public from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Based on oral histories conducted by and with local Cape Verdean community members, the exhibition documents their lived experiences as residents of Dartmouth and New Bedford,
showcasing their stories, photographs, documents, and voices. These stories have not had a broad
audience before.
