On State-Sanctioned Ransom: Ending Cash Bail and Pre-Trial Detention

On Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., South Coast Progressive Voices (SCPV) will host an online presentation by The Massachusetts Bail Fund and The FANG Collective, “On State-Sanctioned Ransom: Ending Cash Bail and Pre-Trial Detention.”
The presentation will examine how bail and pre-trial detention operate in the Massachusetts court system; how bail funds help those without resources to meet bail requirements; efforts by The Massachusetts Bail Fund and The FANG Collective to eliminate cash bail and pre-trial detention; and action steps for those wishing to become more involved.
