The New Bedford Ballet performs Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, a timeless love story that combines magic, tragedy, and romance. It features Prince Siegfried and a lovely swan princess named Odette. Under a sorceress’s spell, Odette is a swan during the day, and at night she is human.
The couple quickly falls in love. In most fairy tales, things are not that easy, and the sorceress has more tricks to play. That brings Odile, her daughter, into the picture. Confusion, forgiveness, and a happy ending with Siegfried and Odette together forever complete the ballet.
