League of Women Voters Southcoast Membership Meeting

The League of Women Voters Southcoast will hold a membership meeting from 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the Rosebrook Event Center in Wareham.
Speaker Darcy Fernandes of Wareham roots, currently serves as Senior Advisor to Commissioner of Education. Ms. Fernandes has been an educator for the past three decades. The recipient of The New Bedford Woman of the Year in 2013 as well as Board member at the Martin Richards Center for Social Justice, Bridgewater State University. “Helping Students have a Voice” will be the topic The public is also invited.
The League of Women Voters is a national non-partisan organization over 100 years of age. The mission
of the league is to inform and educate the public on the topics of the day and serve as voter service advocates including helping people to register to vote.
