International Women’s Day: Celebrating 50 Years of the Local Women’s Movement

Women’s Alliance of Southeastern Massachusetts, Women’s Fund SouthCoast, and multiple other local organizations are hosting International Women’s Day – Celebrating 50 Years of the Local Women’s Movement at the First Unitarian Church in New Bedford. The event will occur on Wednesday, March 8, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can view and contribute to a timeline of local women’s herstory spanning the last 50 years, listen to featured poets, singers, activists, and speakers, and learn about organizations serving local women. Light refreshments and desserts will be available. All are welcome.
