FriYAY: The Weisstronauts

The Weisstronauts are a hard-to-pigeonhole instrumental ensemble. Led by Boston-based producer/engineer/mixer Pete Weiss, The ‘Nauts have toured all over the East Coast and sometimes farther, releasing seven full-length albums and four mini-albums. Their latest release, “Hamming It Down,” peaked at #3 on the national alt-country radio chart in the spring of 2023. As Mojo Flucke of Popdose.com put it, “Hamming It Down continues the Weisstronauts’ decades-long string of some of the most well-put-together instrumental albums I’ve ever heard. You can hear shades of everyone from Buck Owens to Wes Montgomery up there.”
