First meeting of the Standing Committee on Offshore Wind Energy and Fisheries with the National Academies of Sciences

The Standing Committee on Offshore Wind Energy and Fisheries will hold its first virtual meeting to introduce the committee to the public and discuss its goals with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), the lead federal regulator of offshore wind development. The purpose of the newly formed committee is to provide ongoing assistance to BOEM in its efforts to engage the fishing industry as it manages offshore wind. The standing committee will serve as a forum to discuss the state of science and pressing concerns related to offshore wind and its potential impacts to fisheries. This virtual session will be held from 3:00pm to 4:30pm ET on Thursday, April 13. Register by Zoom.
