FABRIC Arts Festival: Hyperballads
October 13 @ 5:00 pm

Hyperballads is a group exhibition that moves around what we might feel and can’t see, what surpasses us and exists beyond. The show positions us in constant movement, going back and forth through spacetime, gravitating towards and away, in the vicinity or out in the vast, juxtaposing realities and balancing subjectivities. Hyper movements that allow for playing, announcements, and deep listening.
The exhibition inaugurates Fall River’s new cultural endeavor, Gather: a crossroads for design, manufacturing, and contemporary art. During the opening, Michael Silva (one of Providence’s premier bartenders) adds an extra layer to the exhibition, proposing two commissioned cocktails as vessels and hyperlinks to the exhibition.
The annual FABRIC Arts Festival returns on October 5–14, featuring a series of music concerts, art exhibitions, public art, dinners, and educational workshops in Fall River, New Bedford, and Providence.
