Embrace Equity: Celebrating 50 Years of the Local Women’s Movement

The Women’s Alliance of Southeastern Massachusetts will be hosting an International Women’s Day celebration on March 8 at the First Unitarian Church in New Bedford from 5:30-8:30 p.m. centered around the theme “Embrace Equity: Celebrating 50 Years of the Local Women’s Movement.”
Drawing on the rich and diverse local culture, the program will include women activist speakers, poets, musical entertainment, a historical timeline, resource tables and more to celebrate milestones in the local women’s movement and the women’s organizations and local services that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and respect for all persons in our community.
