Don’t Lose Hope 5k for Suicide Awareness

October 15 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Join Child & Family Services for its third annual ‘Don’t Lose Hope: 5k Run/Walk for Suicide Awareness’ at Buttonwood park on Sunday, Oct. 15.

It is the year 2023; the world can be a scary and uncertain place for many. Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness. In the last year, almost 5 percent of adults reported having serious thoughts of suicide and approximately 15 percent of youth have experienced a major depressive episode.

Suicide numbers are increasing! Today, it is more common than not that we have all lost someone to suicide or at least know someone who has. We need more conversations, we need more check-ins with our loved ones, but most of all we need to be kind.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the official race start time will be 8:30 a.m. Upon your arrival on race day, please be sure to check in as well as get your honor beads.

If you didn’t get to register in time, they will be accepting same-day registrations.
