DisABILITY Pride Event
July 30 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

To Mark Disability Pride Month and the 33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, The Fairhaven Belonging Committee and M.O. L.I.F.E., Inc. are hosting a DisABILITY Pride Event.
July marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, a comprehensive civil rights law for persons with disabilities.
July is an occasion to celebrate people with disabilities, honor their inherent and inalienable rights, promote their visibility, and applaud their achievements.
While the passage of the ADA opened doors of opportunity for people with disabilities, more work remains to realize its full promise.
The Fairhaven Belonging Committee and M.O. L.I.F.E., Inc. are using this opportunity to reaffirm
our commitment to support the rights of individuals with disabilities. July is also a powerful reminder about the importance of disability rights and why we fight for them.
DisABILITY Pride is an expression of the art, advocacy, and resilience that are hallmarks of South Coast’s vibrant disability community. DisABILITY Pride will be held on July 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairhaven Council on Aging. This is a rain or shine event. In case of rain, we will use the Rec Center next door.
