Dawnland Screening

November 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

BCC’s Holocaust and Genocide Center (bldg. A) is screening Dawnland in honor of Native American Heritage Month. There will be a panel discussion with award-winning director Adam Mazo and Wampanoag author and educator Linda Coombs. Refreshments will be served.

This documentary from the Upstander Project won an Emmy for portraying the only Truth and Reconciliation program in the country. This powerful documentary presents stories of Native children, now adults, who were forced to attend residential schools or live in foster homes with white families. The testimony reveals truths about U.S. history seldom taught in schools.
