Compost Bin Day
August 19 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 pm
New Bedford and Dartmouth residents who purchase, or previously purchased, a backyard compost bin on Aug. 19 will receive a Sure-Close kitchen counter bin FREE while supplies last.
Stainless steel kitchen counter bins will be available for purchase for $30.28 each. Either the Sure-Close or the stainless steel kitchen counter bin can be used to collect food waste in your kitchen, and it’s then emptied into your backyard compost bin.
Here are the details for the event:
- Crapo Hill Landfill, 300 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745. Enter through the New Bedford Business Park.
- Saturday, August 19th, 8:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
- New Bedford and Dartmouth residents only, ID required.
- Both types of bins cost $25 each. Cash, check, or money order only. No credit or debit cards.
