The Committee on Appointments and Briefings will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in City Council chambers at City Hall.

On the agenda:

  • A petition by Nathaniel Ellis of Flip This Doll House for a waiver of residency for a license to deal in secondhand articles.
  • A motion requesting a meeting with local musician and cultural educator Candida Rose to discuss her proposal for expanding Cape Verdean Recognition Month.
  • A motion requesting the entire City Council tour Tripp Towers and Melville Towers within 90 days and meet with the management team about issues raised by tenants.
  • A motion to send letters of support requesting HUD’s Senior Citizens Housing rules be reviewed and reverse the current practice of allowing mix-use in Senior Housing.
