“The Women’s Work: At Sea, On Shore, At Home, In the Community,” an exhibit by the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center, is now on display at New Bedford City Hall. The exhibit shines a light on the many roles that women play in commercial fishing communities. It features the photography of Markham Starr, and Phil Mello, and draws on oral history interviews conducted over the past 15 years.
The exhibit will be on display at 133 William Street through Spring 2023. It can be viewed on the second floor from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
