CineMar: Portuguese Cinema in Relation to the Sea

Cinemar takes place in Portugal, with a portion of the event at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. The film festival starts on Friday, Sept. 29, from 3-7 p.m., with Portuguese animation and documentary films, virtual conversations with filmmakers, and workshops.
On Saturday, Sept. 30, CineMar returns with documentary films, student films, virtual conversations with filmmakers, and additional workshops. The event runs from 10 a.m. -4 p.m.
CineMar is organized by the Cooperative Break The Anchor, a non-profit organization USA/Portugal and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. – Portuguese Communities. Admission is free. Advance registration is required.
