Carving Out Your Story: Oral History Workshop

May 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

This workshop is facilitated by two award-winning storytellers, Karen Chace of Freetown, and Abington’s storyteller, Andrea Lovett. They will guide participants through finding those jewels that deserve to be remembered. Please register at the library or call 781- 982-2139, as space is limited. This program is free and open to the public.

Stories are important. It is how we make sense of the world. Generations of children have no concept of what it was like to grow up in the ’30s, ’40s, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. If a story isn’t shared, that experience will disappear in history, but if it is rediscovered within a story, it will live on for generations.
