BOEM on April 26 published a call for information and nominations on commercial leasing for offshore wind in the Gulf of Maine, commencing a 45-day public comment period. BOEM will accept nominations and comments through 11:59 p.m. ET on June 12. Those interested in providing comments or information regarding site conditions, resources, and uses in close proximity to or within the call area should provide comment, as well as those interested in leasing. BOEM may or may not offer a lease for a commercial wind project within the call area after further government consultations, public participation, and environmental analyses.
