Book launch for ‘Hometown’ a memoir by John K. Bullard

Spinner Publications proudly presents Hometown, a memoir written by former New Bedford mayor John K. Bullard. A pre-publication book launch for Hometown is taking place June 1 at the New Bedford Whaling Museum from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is free however, reservations are required. To reserve, attendees must register via Eventbrite.

 A speaking program will begin at 6 p.m. in the museum’s Harbor View Gallery with remarks by Museum director Amanda McMullen, Spinner publisher Joseph Thomas and Mayor Jon Mitchell. Bullard will then talk about the making of his memoir. The introduction will be followed by a meet & greet with lite bites and a cash bar provided by Party by Primo, during which attendees can purchase the book and have it signed and personalized by John.

In Hometown, John tells the story of his commitment to New Bedford, his work in public service, and his dedication to family, community, and environmental issues. He weaves a tale of a family legacy intertwined with the pitfalls and promise of New Bedford, a storied Massachusetts seaport whose past and future can be found in every small American city struggling to survive and thrive.
