Starting Thursday, Sept. 29, Cook Memorial Theater will begin showing visually-stunning 20-minute 3D movies, starting with Oceans: Our Blue Planet and Antarctica: On The Edge. This is the first and only 3D theater on the SouthCoast.  Beyond showing short ecologically-centered films, there is another eco-friendly component: the theater’s 3D glasses will be reusable.

Narrated by Kate Winslet, Oceans: Our Blue Planet takes families on a global odyssey to discover the largest and least explored habitat on earth – our oceans. From the coastal shallows to deeper, more mysterious worlds, this movie reveals the untold stories of the ocean’s most astonishing creatures.
