UMass Dartmouth will hold this Jan. 28 virtual event — featuring inspiring remarks, musical performances and a keynote address from bestselling author Michael Eric Dyson — from 9-11 a.m. via Zoom.
The event is free and open to the public, but you must register to attend.
Dr. Dyson is a public intellectual and best-selling author of 21 books. He is the Centennial Chair at Vanderbilt University, contributes opinion pieces to the New York Times and is a contributing editor of The New Republic and ESPN’s The Undefeated. His is the recipient of an American Book Award and two NAACP Image Awards and has been cited by Ebony as one of the 100 most influential African Americans in the nation.
The event will also feature remarks from Chancellor Mark A. Fuller and musical performances by Candida Rose and UMass Dartmouth’s D’SWORD Gospel Choir.
